What Wedding Workshop has to say about this Partner:
So many great things to say about Courtney. She is truly one of a kind and when she walks into a room – she lights the place up with her smile, her bright pink pants suit and leopard pumps. She has such a creative mind and you can see that in her work. Her invitation designs are on fleek (are the kids still saying that?) and you’ll be over the moon with what she can design for you. We love her so much, we asked her to be our House Stationer at the Workshop where she’s created templates for brides and grooms who are looking for ways to save money but still get amazing invitations.
What makes you different?
Courtney Winet, a 2007 graduate of SIUE’s Fine Arts program, credits her creativity to the glitter pens, coloring books and the farm fresh air of her youth. She runs Courtney Winet Design, a graphic design studio specializing in creative stationery. Courtney approaches all aspects of her work with passion and enthusiasm and is sought after for her playful, strategic design. When she’s not art directing photo shoots, designing invitations, posters and more, you can find her cruising for awesome vintage finds, trying the newest St. Louis restaurant or walking her adorable puggle, Charli Jo Sugarbaker.
What would be your “Walking Up to Home Plate” song that gets you pumped up?
“I Wanna Dance With Somebody” by Whitney Houston
Below is an extensive Q&A we hope you find valuable and gives you an insight into the quality of work you can expect from this vendor.
I don’t have one specialty but pride myself in being able to work on traditional invitation suites all the way to super funky!
Yes, at the wedding workshop (both online and at the space)!
I do not do it, but I have several people I work with.
Yes, I do. Since these are custom items, I will quote each job individually.
One week for collection invitations
I am not responsible for any errors once the final proof has been signed off on. I will happily work with you on a reprint, but there will be a charge of $1 a minute for design time and you will be responsible for full printing costs.
I will happily make wording suggestions!
I suggest sending your invitations out 6-8 weeks before your wedding date. Please allow one month for the design/proofing/printing process to play it safe.
I ask that you allow one month for design/proofing/printing
Yes, of course!
My collection invitations have set prices in increments of 50. All custom invitations are priced on a per job basis.
I will happily give an estimate from a custom calligrapher or have them machine addressed.
Yes. There is a $60/hour charge. An estimate can be given based on the quantity and how extensive the assembly will be.
Yes. This falls in to the assembly category above.
I always suggest ordering at least 10 extras, so this doesn’t happen, but in the case it does, there is a $7.50 per invite set fee.
50% deposit is required before the job can begin
Before the job goes to the printer
Jobs can be cancelled before design begins for full money back. Orders cannot be canceled after proof approval.
I can get some if needed, but they would only pertain to custom invitations. Let’s discuss!
