Alexander Ruwe Music

Serving St. Louis City and surrounding areas

What Wedding Workshop has to say about this Partner:

We first met Alex at a wedding show where we were lucky enough to be stationed next to him and hear his music all day.  He has such an amazing tone to his voice and it’s so impressive the amount of instruments he can play.  What we love most about his services is that he will write a custom song for you and your future spouse – I mean – how cool is that for a surprise to your forever person?  We could go on and on about Alex, but do yourself a favor and check out some samples of his singing and playing and then do your guests a favor and book him for your wedding!

What makes you different?

We provide a variety of custom packages that include both live and DJ’d music, so couples have dynamic entertainment throughout their celebration.

What would be your “Walking Up to Home Plate” song that gets you pumped up?

“Night Fever” by the Bee Gees (Don’t tell anyone…)

Below is an extensive Q&A we hope you find valuable and gives you an insight into the quality of work you can expect from this vendor.

I have had my company for just under 3 years now, but I have been entertaining for weddings, corporate functions and private parties since I was a teenager. (~15 years)

I play piano, guitar (acoustic & electric), ukulele & sing. The group can be as small as just me, or extend to include two female vocalists and a horn section. (10 people)

I would bet that I am approaching the 100 mark, which is so hard to believe.

Both! Loooots of material to review on YouTube, Spotify, iTunes, etc. I perform 6-8x per month as a solo act, and various forms of the band (duo, trio, 5-piece) can be seen 1-2x/month in venues across Greater St Louis.

Yes, including all lighting equipment, and we are more than happy to make use of a venue’s system when required.
Nope, but we are happy to accommodate one for an additional cost. Often times, couples will hire the duo or trio to perform for the rehearsal dinner.

At this time, we accept any and all song requests — no sheet music required — and we do not place a limit on the number of requests. 5-7 is typical, but send us all you need! Hopefully, it’s not 65 new tunes… haha

It depends on the size of the group, but historically, we have always been able to work within the space available. A stage is not required, but we do love when one is present. We are also happy to take the lead on making arrangements for a stage to be built for the event.
We ask for 2 hours prior to the event, and 1.5 hours after for teardown.
No, but we SUPER grateful when they are provided.
Our packages vary from $825-$12,000, depending on size of band, length of event, location, etc.
My First Dance — Custom first dance songs
To date, we have never had a cancellation, and I strive to work with the same crew of musicians. However, in the event that an emergency unfolded, I have a large community of musicians to pool from that could fill in.
We ask for a 20% deposit to secure the date.
The remaining balance must be paid on the day of the event, or anytime before.

Cancellation: If full payment is not made by start of event, Services may be cancelled by ARM Creative Group, and Client may not seek any damages. If the Services are cancelled within 60 days of the date of Services, Client must pay ARM Creative Group’s full Fee, unless ARM Creative Group is able to rebook the date. For cancellation to be effective, Client must notify Alexander Ruwe by phone (618-204-0137) or by email (
