Hello, darling! My name is Hillary Williams and I am the Owner and “Celebration Creator” behind Hillary J Events. For as long as I can remember, my personal philosophy has been “there is always a reason to celebrate” – which is why I believe a bottle of bubbly should be in your fridge at all times!  This motto serves as the heart of my client experience and every event I have the honor of designing and executing. Whether it’s a wedding, bachelorette weekend, baby shower, or private dinner party, HJE specializes in creating a memorable experience from start to finish.

Hillary J Events was officially established in 2017 but I have worked in a variety of different roles in the event industry for as long as I can remember.  In high school, I was the designated “party planner” and then in college, I was the Vice President of Recruitment for my sorority, and let me tell ya, recruitment is a HUGE event in itself.  Growing up with a mom who doubled as a professional hostess, it was only natural for me to find myself gravitating toward event and marketing roles.  From non-profit galas and community events to weddings and holiday parties to bachelorette parties and European adventures, I have turned “celebrating” into a professional gig!

My packages range from $1,750-$6,000 depending on the level of service!

In terms of event and wedding planning & design services, I offer three main tiers of service:

  • The Finishing Touch (i.e., Day Of/Month Of)
  • The Essentials (Partial Planning)
  • The Extravaganza (Full Planning)

Each tier of service includes a different level of coordinating, design, vendor/venue selection, meeting attendance that is customized to best suit the client’s needs!

In addition to planning and designing bachelorette parties and other wedding festivities, I also create custom travel itineraries for those who are looking for a grand adventure!  Whether you are headed to Italy or looking for a weekend getaway filled with local experiences vs. touristy hot spots.

This can be a loaded question!  Typically, 20-25, but I like to plan strategically in terms of full-planning, partial-planning, and month-of so that each client receives all-star service!

Gosh, there are so many vendors I just absolutely adore.  One thing you will learn about me quite quickly is that I am a networking busy-bee.  I love love love connecting with all the incredible creatives in the industry and it brings me such joy to introduce them to my amazing clients.

As your wedding planner, I play “matchmaker” by building a team of wedding professionals that match your style, personality, and budget!  After you complete my questionnaire and we have our initial meeting, I go into matchmaking mode and create a list of vendors that would be a good fit.  Together, we go through the list of recommendations and chat about options!  From there, I will schedule initial consultations to get the ball rolling!

All contracts and payments are to be signed and paid for by the client.  When it comes to reviewing the services and contracts, I am there to walk the client through that and provide any insight or input.

YES!  Event dreaming and scheming makes my creative heart do a happy dance!  The little, personal details are what tend to be the most memorable, which is why it’s so important to me to really get to know you two as a couple!  Nothing makes me happier than creating a wedding vision that is a true reflection of my client!

Yes, it is not included in my packages but is available as an a la carte item.

YES!  My friends call me a “weekend warrior” because I have perpetual wanderlust!  My next destination wedding on the books is in Jackson Hole, WY this October.

For clients, I will make recommendations for rental companies and connect them with a point of contact, as well as communicate with the rental company in regards to what items the client would like to rent.  I do not make any payments or sign the contract.

“Day of” coordinating is a bit of a myth!  There truly is no such thing!  From my perspective, I could not imagine pouring a large amount of time, money, and love into a special celebration…and then passing the reins to someone on the “day of” THE big day!  There is so much that goes into creating a memorable event, and personally, I want to honor that in the most beautiful way possible.  Thus, it’s so important to me that I come on board at least 4 weeks before the event (preferably 6 weeks during busy season).  During that time, I am able to get to know my client(s), their vendors, their vision, family dynamics, and any additional details that all play a part in executing a stress-free, jaw-dropping wedding or event!

YES!  Vendor-client meetings are such a fun part of designing the vision and capturing the couple’s style!

Additional team members are provided based on the logistical aspects of the wedding, guest count, timeline, etc.  I would rather be over prepared and let an assistant leave early than be underprepared!  With that said, I also like to avoid having too many cooks in the kitchen!

YES, I am OFFICIAL!

If Planner is unable to attend events, or complete the contract due to illness, tragedy, “Acts of God” or “Force Majeure”, Planner will make reasonable efforts to provide a replacement with capabilities and experience to finish the tasks.

The payments are divided up monthly with the last payment being due one month prior to your wedding.  This also creates an extra point of contact each month!

Client may cancel by giving written notice to Hillary J Events. Since HJE services are in the form of time and planning, any and all cancellations will result in the forfeiture of the non-refundable retainer deposit for the event. Should the Event be cancelled by Client (except due to force majeure or due to acts of God), 1) Client’s decision would constitute a breach of contracted obligation to Planner and Client agrees Planner would be harmed and 2) the Client shall also pay Planner liquidated damages (not as a penalty), within thirty (30) days after written notification to Planner of cancellation.

If Planner is unable to attend events, or complete the contract due to illness, tragedy, “Acts of God” or “Force Majeure”, Planner will make reasonable efforts to provide a replacement with capabilities and experience to finish the tasks.

All cancellations to this contract requires written notification either by mail or email. Down-grading services once this agreement has been signed by both parties will not be honored.
